I decided to bypass a few other around the house projects and do something with my bathroom. Does it really have to be done, no. It’s fairly bright and light with a skylight and actually is the one tiled surface in the place with neutral khaki accents. I’d been debating between a light green and a blueish lilac color. Something to keep it bright and go with the rugs and accessories.

Last night I decide to slap on a bit of “Whispering Wisteria”. I think I hate it. I might leave it a few days to see if it grows on me. It would probably be more blue after finishing the needed couple more coats but I’m scared to go further.

I just do better in darker colors, I think it was too hopeful to think I could stomach such a pastel. Maybe a blue-er color will be a better fit.

Someday I’ll get to be the crotchety old lady yelling at the grandkids about the good old days.

Solo Mother kindly reminded us this week of the astronomical cost of raising children til they’re fully cooked, for a reason other than just torture of course. Luckily, ha, falling at the lower income end it’ll probably be more like $148,320 than the 200k+. Life still feels like it’s inflating at record speed it makes my head spin.

I thought of these numbers as I fed my child 3 times so far today. Also quite glad I got the whole turkey not just the turkey breast to make for dinner today, so I can have some too. Growing again it seems, all fine and good until the groceries start evaporating! Thank goodness for beef coming again soon from the family, not a growth spurt too soon.

Do I need a different blog? No.  I just marvel at other wordpress blogs.

I was pleasantly surprised. Sure it was a little stereotypical “Army”, but was very emotional on the Stop-Loss issue. Which I guess was a good thing, hence the name.

The guys got blown up.  Killed people.  Children were blown up. Bleh.  I cried.  It makes our violence at home seem trivial to think of what happens elsewhere everyday.

I was relieved that Ryan Philippe had a southern drawl, I may love to look at him but his speech pattern too closely resembles an old boyfriend much like his face, heh. Usually I’m okay with him if he’s not talking, but he was really great and this was probably one of his best roles – finally playing a character rather than himself.
