feeling purple

I’m super excited – it’s a-go for firepits at Relay! My parents’ is the allowable kind so maybe they’ll let me take it too. Thankfully I didn’t leave their card table out to rust like someone *couchrachaelcough* and return things I borrow. Add in my sister’s guitar and we just might get to have a family campfire for once this year.

I want to sell at least 150 slices of cheesecake so I need to be more uniform on cutting. The stupid 12 inch pans that come in my sets actually have a use this year. But with Megan and Tim’s excitement, I’m sure I can probably sell one cake between just them.

Next up, making a schedule, figuring out what flavors to make & deciding on tshirt designs for all the kid tees I’ve got stored up from last year. My iron won’t know what’s happening with the sudden use.

I’m so proud of Braiden’s enthusiasm for Relay, mostly it’s just a fun thing to look forward to but I want the giving of his time to be second nature. He rattled off a whole list of people he’s made sure to invite and has made fast friends with the our new Coordinator. He’s completely comfortable in a room full of Relaying adults or near adults.

Unfortunately he is still convinced he can be on another “cooler” team, little does he know there’s no way I can really spare him if I have to take my turn with first aid and concessions. Maybe I can sign up for the middle of the night for both so that nobody needs anything!
