How do you fix what you’re not sure is broken?

The weekend helped. Being a little disconnected from your life is the best way back to it sometimes.

As the days pass, the more crippled I feel as my muscles punish me, but it felt nice to be back on a horse. I ended up riding in English and Western since we swapped horses and that was about bizarre. My mom insisted before I got there I’d want to ride English so she saddled up that way. I do prefer it, but it’s been ages as Rachael doesn’t care for it.

There’s something challenging about knowing how badly you’re going to be hurt (or at least your pride) if you’re thrown from a thousand pound animal if you can’t control them. It’s enough to keep you on your toes anyway heh.

Yesterday was wonderfully lazy, time at the pool, out in the yard, making a real dinner with my kid at home. It’s been a crazy disjointed week, I think I really needed yesterday to put it back together.
